Finally Ready

 I am finally ready to start looking into plastic surgery.  I am three years out from lapband and have lost a total of 146.  I have a lot of excess skin that I want removed.  I have seen my family practice docs for complications from the excess and I need to know what steps do I need to have him take to get me approved for excess skin removal.  Any help would be appreciated.

When you do contact your insurance company, my surgeons advised NOT asking about plastic surgery, as many insurance companies view that as elective vanity surgery. Rather, they suggested asking about reconstructive surgeries as that implies medical necessity, which is something any insurance company will require before they even think about covering you.
