I have my preop exam today and my payments and paperwork are all in.

Any advice would be appreciated.  Anything I should get before hand?  Anything you wished you had gotten before that you forgot?

I am same day surgery and will have a "pump" to help numb the area for a few days.

For those with a TT did you sleep in a recliner or propped up in bed?  How long before I can sleep  normally.

For the BL and BA I am doing 300cc C cup, do I just need some good fitting sports bras for awhile?  How long until you were in a regular bar?

Lastly, I have problems with nausea after surgery and the next couple of days, how did you handle this?  Is it Zofran still?

I'm nervous but will be happy be done and on my way to recovery.

I appreciate your input.

I had almost the same procedures last year, with a full lbl.

I did sleep in a recliner the first few nights, and in a lawn chair postition on the bed aided by pillows after that.

It was a good bit before I slept normally again- maybe 6 or 8 weeks- can't quite remember now. Yes, good fitting sports bras that zip up the front instead of pull over your head are good, as are compression bras.

I also have problems with nausea after anesthesia, but I talked with the anesthesiologist about it and it was well controlled. I was in the hospital for two nights, so they put something in the IV for me.

Get lots of protein in, starting now, if you haven't already begun. I upped my protein intake to 150 g. a day and kept it there for 3 months post op. It really does help with healing. Also did lots of cardio and leg strengthening exercises.

All the best to you- keep us posted on how you're doing!

That is a lot of surgery to have done all at the same time.  I wish you luck!

My lower body lift and brachioplasty (2 separate procedures six months apart) required that I sleep in the recliner for several days.  I still needed some assistance getting up and down from the recliner and the toilet for the first few days.  I was given Loritab for pain and needed it every 4-6 hours for the first week.

I also had a breast reduction many years ago....front opening sports bra is a must.  No underwire bras for at least 90 days post op.  You can use gauze pads inside the bras for seepage from stitches.

You will want to sleep on your back...not roll to side so you might need some pillows beside you to keep you from turning in your sleep.  If you have nausea issues, ask for Promethezane RX...it will help SO much.  It is an opiate and will make you sleepy but really controls nausea well.

Good luck!
This too will pass, like a kidney stone but it will pass!
