1 week out from extended TT and ab tightening and I think I would do it again - too early to really know, but I can see my feet now!!!  Will feel better when the drains come out Monday and I get a shower!!!

I have a new philosophy, I'm only going to dread one day at a time.  Charlie Brown

On Tuesday I'll be three weeks post belt lipectomy and would do it again in a New York minute. The pain was well controlled with meds, and the only real issue I had was that I was unable to walk the night of my surgery. Everytime I tried to stand I'd have a wave of heat flood over me and would start to heave. That was resolved with crackers and phenergan and by the next day I was getting up and walking every 1 1/2-2 hours. I still have one drain left but hope to have it removed tomorrow. I'm able to get up and down from the floor, playing with my granddaughter. Last week I got out of the house and ran errands. My family still won't let me do too much, but I am amazed at how well and fit I feel. I'm lucky in that I don't have a paying job, being a full-time homemaker, and that we our son and his wife and our oldest daughter living at home with us righ tnow. They've all been a huge help, and between them and my husband, I haven't had to cook or clean or otherwise lift a finger to anything more strenuous than typing *LOL*

To help reduce scarring I use Mederma twice a day and Bio-Oil twice a day and there are already areas where you can't see any incision. The rest of it is noticeably flattening out and the redness fading.

I never had to wear a compression garment. My surgeon has me so tight that none was needed and when I went for my one-week post-op visit the nurse was absolutely amazed at how straight I was and how well I was walking.
