Right there with ya Girl!

Nervous but excited.

I can't wait to have this thing gone.

It really is like the closing chapter to this journey...reconstruction.

 Renee,

You look absolutely fabulous!!  Thanks for the inspiration...how long after you reach goal weight did you have your surgery.  I am 1 pound away from goal, but still losing and I know I have to let my weight stabilize prior to plastics....I just can't wait!!

 Thank you, Allison!

I was 18 months out from my WL surgery and my weight had been stable about 6 months. I did lose about 7 pounds after all of my procedures and I dropped 1 pant size. I started my consultations before my 18 month mark. I figured it was never too soon to start looking into it.

i had a FDL tummy tuck 2 1/2 weeks ago, and from what i see right now, i'm gonna have a ROCKIN' waistline!  i'm a little concerned about the location of my belly button (it seems too high) but since i hadn't actually been able to see my belly button for a few years, it may be where it is actually supposed to be!

the upper half of the vertical incision looks awesome and like there won't be that much of a scar.. but i'm not that worried -- at my age, i probably won't ever be wearing a two-piece bathing suit or other midriff-baring clothing...     i just wanted to look better in my clothes!!

i already bought some new undies that i would never have considered when i had that big ol' panni in the front...  can't wait until i can wear 'em!!

(someone tell my doc that i want these stupid JP drains GONE!!! - dangit i hate them!)

So happy for you.

Must feel so much better.

My surgeon says my belly button might have to go bye-bye.
The stalk is really stretched out.

But I guess if it has to go...well, so be it.
I won't be sportin a 2 piece anyway.

My partner of 14 years met me at 300 lbs.
I don't think she will mind the absence of my belly button.
(at least I hope she won't...)

I hear ya on the drains. I have been a surgical RN for 23 years. They are dreadful things aren't they?

I wish I had gone for  that. I have NO waist - I am the same measurement at my waist as my hips. I actually have to wear a size LARGER pant now because of my waist.

Just had mine on Friday - doctor says I had a tiny body under my skin!!  He took off 8.5 pounds of skin/fat - could not do as much flank lipo as he had intended because it was mostly skin and not fat.  Will need to be excised if I want it off - right now my thoughts are NO!!!

First days were bad but it's getting better - and will be much better after the drains come out.  I am so short waisted (I am only 5 feet tall) that the compression girdle rides up on me and I have to use an undershirt and pads to keep it from rubbing.

Supposedly I will actually have a waist and after going in he thinks the muscle tightening will definitely help with my back pain.
