I'm having a breast lift, chestplasty, and circumferential belt lipectomy (lower body lift) all done at the same time as a Stage 1 plastic surgery.  Has anyone ever had this combination of things done. If not, and you had multiple surgeries, how long were u on the table? My estimated surgery time is about 8 hours, and of course I am staying overnight.

Any advice or any pics anyone can share is appreciated!!

Thanks!!

I had a lbl, bl/ba, and butt augmentation. I was in the OR for about 10 hours and came through fine. I stayed two nights in the hospital. I have a before and after pic of my belly in my profile. If you'd like to see it, just send me a friend request and the password is LoMonaco.

My best advice on a good recovery is to get as much cardio in starting now. I was a cardio maniac (still am) and it really helped in my good recovery. Strenghten your legs, especially your quads, to help make getting up and down post op easier. Increase your protein intake. I encreased mine to 150 g a day and continued that level for 3 months after surgery.

Get your blood work done and make sure you're not anemic or dealing with any nutritional deficiencies that can hinder healing.

All the best to you!

I had full LBL, breast lift/reduction, brachioplasty, and upper back all done at once. It was 5 1/2 hours on the table because my surgical team was 2 doctors and 4 assistants. The doctors cut, and the assistants stitched and pulled skin. I spent one night in the hospital, and was on morphine in the hospital, norco for two days at home (could have had a month, didn't need it), and tylenol for another 2 or 3 days.

Second stage was thighs: vertical groin to just below the knee and horizontal groin from mid-front through the crotch to mid-back. That one was about 1 1/2 hours with the same team, and I went home the same day. It also hurt more than the other surgery, but I'm getting around very well and back at work after 1 1/2 weeks, so it's all good.

I second Shelly's advice about getting in the cardio and strength as much as you possibly can pre-op, as well as the protein. My surgeons recommend adding vitamin C and zinc after surgery to help with healing.

Best of luck!
