Tummy tuck for guys

Hey everyone,

It's been 5 yrs this June since I had my Gastric Bypass. I lost 136 pounds and have maintained my current weight for the past 4 years. I have been seriously thinking of getting the tummy tuck and want to do it. I have researched it, found a good plastic surgeon, and am confident that it will be a success. However; I am in a position workwise that I cannot afford any more than 7 weeks off.

Does anyone, specifically any guys here have had the procedure, and if so, how long, realistically is the recovery time? I mean where I can get back in to work and do stuff like crouching, stooping, and lifting 50-100 pounds?

Any feedback with personal experiences are welcomed and appreciated and any feedback from the ladies of this forum is appreciated as well. I want to see what you guys have to say.
Thanks,

Paul

Here is a link to an OH group that my friend Tom started. It's for men. He and others there should be able to help you out from a man's perspective.

Paul,

Can't help on reply since I just went to my first consult last week.  Be interesting to find out what you learn though since we're both in the same like of work.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

I went for a consult back in September. Doc told me it was a 6 week recovery period, but for me being more active, I need to know if 6 weeks is realistic or should I take more. But yeah, I'm hoping to get the surgery, be out 2 weeks, then go back light duty for 4 weeks.

Let me know what the Dr. tells you and good luck.
