I live in SE Michigan and my wife had bypass last year.   I am wondering if she can get all three done at one time.  Does anyone have any recommendations for a plastic surgeon?   Also we have BCBS insurance.  Does anyone know if there is a waiting period?  Thanks.

Contact your insurance company to find out if they pay for reconstructive work, what they require you do to meet approval and a list of plastic surgeons who accept their insurance - or what will they reimburse you if you go out of plan.

From the doctors I have talked to BCBS of MI is one of the easiest to get approved through.  Not sure exactly where in Michigan you are from, but I found a doctor that works out of Ypsilanti and Novi..... He is amazing... I am sitting here waiting to find out if my insurance will pay for him to do my work right now...  His name is Dr. DiNick and he works through the Barix Clinic.  There is another doctor that works with him that works outta Ann Arbor and his name is Dr. Hinge.  I haven't met with him yet, but I may once I find out if insurance will pay or not.  Good Luck.... Dr. DiNick did tell me though that BCBS of MI is fairly easy to get stuff covered through.... Let me know how it turns out and who you end up using....

I had a hernia repair, abdominoplasty, breast lift and brachioplasty (arms) all done at once. The recovery was pretty helli****'s an awful lot of time on the table (over 12 hours in my case) which is very hard on a compromised body. Be as safe as you can afford to be.
