I just looked at your photos and honestly I think you are being too critical of yourself. My results are similar to yours, and I'm very happy.

I would be careful of doing multiple surgeries chasing perfection. You have a gorgeous figure now, try to appreciate it and enjoy it. These surgeries are not risk free, and you have an amazing shape right now.

That's my 2 cents!

Hello everyone.. I am really confused. I had a tummy tuck in December and for the most part it looks good but I still have alot of fat.    I thought it might be skin but I spoke to a new plastic surgeon and he said it was fat.. this new dr said I should of done lipo first.  Now I need to make a decision to have lipo now...  he said I might have an issue with skin if I do lipo now.. so what is worse, skin or fat?

This new dr said I need lipo on my flanks and my lower butt..  I was told by my Dr who did my TT that I need to have Belt Lipectomy to finish the product..  I have spent so much money and now  I am looking at another $6,000. I am soo confused.. anyone has any experience with this?  Any advice would help

Jenbow2, I think you look great. There still appears to be some swelling with is normal with your stage of healing and that can take a long to time completely disappear. I don't see any fat that needs lipo in the area of your tummy tuck but maybe I can't see it due to the angle of the two post op pictures you've posted.

The tummy tuck, of course, does nothing for the lower butt - doesn't even come close LOL The pulling and excision of excess skin was only performed over your abdominal area, not the back end. Yes, the belt lipectomy, and for some of us, a thigh lift need to be performed to fix that area which you haven't had this done yet.

So if I understand what you're asking, that you are unhappy with your tummy tuck because it hasn't fixed areas of your body for which it was never designed nor expected to improve - that is unrealistic. I bet that you look 100% better in your clothes now without that hanging skin and you must feel good now too since you've had time to get over the worst of the post-op period.

Jenbow2 -

I looked at your pictures and agree that you look great!  However, the pictures are very early post op- do you have any more recent?

It is all about self acceptance and body-love I am learning.  Nobody is perfect, even the perfect ones!

You probably still have swelling - my PS said expect swelling for 6 months and that final results will still not be seen for a whole year!!!  I had mine done in January and I swell everyday - some days my waist is 29 inches, others 30. The lowest ever was 27 - My ps said he thinks when swelling is gone it will be smaller than 27!
