new navel and tight binder?
My entire abdominal incision is closed and dry and scabs falling off....But my navel which was initially doing the same is now bruised and back moist.....
I am wearing my binder over my navel and hips on top of a long tank top....I am wondering if it is because my navel is not getting any airflow.....I tried neosporin but it just makes it ooze and remain soft.
has anyone had problems with new navel healing following panniculectomy/TT and has anyone ever went a few days without wearing binder with no problems..I just want the navel to form a solid dry scab?
any suggestions?appreciate it!
Hi Birthdaygirl,
Take a look at my photos, I had a hard time healing with my navel and it actually died and fell off. It turned black, started ozzing then got infected. I was told to put alcohol on it (will dry it out) three times a day and a very very thin coat of neosporen. It took mine a month but it did heal. I do not have a belly button, just a scar where it used to be that looks like a painted belly button. Good luck and just keep it dry, not too much neosporen.
