broken foot pre-op

okay I am going in for my pre admission testing tomorrow, but I broke my foot last week and I am in a cast up to my knee. my PS office said they may post pone my surgry till i get the cast off any one have an info on this subject

Wow, that's unfortunate - both the broken foot and the postponement if it occurs. You have my sympathy.

thanks, I am going to the PS today & I will find out and let everyone know, you know how psychedup  & excited u get for the date & it gets so close and then this happens, well everything happens for a reason

Are you on crutches? 

I've broken my foot before, I am so sorry this happened.  Bad timing.  Good luck!

yes, but now I am allowed to bear weight on it, I only use the crutches later in the day when my foot swells up.
You see when I feel better I cant stay still and then I pay but thats ok, when I had to stay off it for a few days I stayed drugged on Percocet cause it makes me sleep. that is the only way I can stay still

he didnt cancel my surgery cause I can walki

That's great news!  Go for it!

I broke my ankle and was in a cast about 4 weeks before my VSG and when I asked the doctor he said it wouldn't be a problem. Fortunately I was in a boot the day before my surgery so it wasn't an issue any longer. Good luck to you!
