Insurance

For anyone who was lucky enough to have their plastics covered by insurance, how did you prove it was medically necessary? I had my arms and LBL done and paid that out of pocket, didn't even try to get approval because I didn't think it was possible for plastics to be covered. I'd love to find a way to get my thighs covered after I lose my last 30lbs and am ready to have it done. But I don't think my skin is going to be bad enough to cause physical problems, although I can't predict the future. I'm 23 and when I hopefully get down to 145, I will have lost about 130 lbs, so not as much as other MO patients. At this time, the only discomfort I have is with walking and exercising, and especially if I wear shorts which I've mostly stopped doing, they rub together and ultimately get sore from forming a rash, so I have to sometimes cut working out short or wear thicker pants, which sucks cuz I get hot quickly.

Anyways, anyone want to share their experiences with plastics and insurance please?
