Recap of LBL
i really enjoyed your post. thank you for sharing. i am about 30 lbs from goal and just now doing beginning research. my VSG was VERY painful and so i will not let anyone do plastics without a firm plan for my pain control.
congrats on being through the worst of it. i can't wait for you to have the swelling go down so you can see and enjoy the effects of the procedure.
congrats.

Thanks a lot kathie.
One of the things you might want to discuss with plastic surgeons when you go in for consults is using an on-q pain pump. it is a cathetar that supplies local anesthetic directly to the surgical site. it lasts for several days post op, addiionally narcotic pain meds are prescribed. I did not have one but I know several posters on here have.
I'd also like to add that while in some aspects plastics was most painful, i found that I felt much better over all for these surgeries than I did after my RNY- I attribute that to the fact that I am much healthier now, just my experience.

Thank you so much for sharing all of this! My LBL/TT is in one week and this is very helpful information for us pre-ops. :) My surgeon will be using one of those On-Q pain pumps for my TT area. I'm glad you are over the hump with the recovery process! Please send me a friend request so I can see your photos!
Thanks again!
