I got my date for the LBL..

July 21, 2011...I am soooo excited and I LOVE MY SURGEON...!!

I posted on the Sleeve board if you are interested in reading about all that took place today..

THANK YOU EVERYONE THAT HAS SHOWN ME YOUR SURGERY PICS AND THAT HAVE ANSWERED MY MANY QUESTIONS...I KNOW THERE WILL BE TIMES I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS AS THE DATE DRAWS NEARER, BUT FOR NOW...KNOW THAT I SOOOO APPRECIATE EACH ONE OF YOU WITH ALL MY HEART..!!

Congrats on getting a date!  This is such an exciting time!  Id reccommend using the next few months to concentrate on getting yourself in the best shape possible for surgery, the stronger you are the easier the recovery!! 

Thanks Sweetie...I agree 100% and i am going to be doing just that...i have been a little lax in taking my vitamins, calcium, and minerals..so this is something I am going to step up and i am going to be working out even more...

Hey Mary...!!

Dr. Reno. He was so easy to talk with, and I felt so comfortable with him. I asked questions I had written down and he took his time explaining things to me...then he would ask me if I understood and sis i have anything else to ask him...I usually did..lol

We talked for at least an hour and he told me if i had more questions to give him a call and he would be happy to talk with me. I will stay in the hospital for at least one night  to make sure things were going well...if he thinks I'm doing well I can go home somtime the next day..He said they would take good care of me and i do believe they will.

How long were you in the hospital or were you..?

Pam called me and left a message. I am going to call her today and talk with her...She has been a good friend and support...

I LOVE Dr. Reno!  With my LBL, I stayed in the hospital for one night and went home the next afternoon.  All of my other surgeries, I went home after surgery.  

I was in no pain at all, the only problem I had was that for some odd reason, they sent me a full meal that included collard greens.  The smell made me so nauseous that I threw up a little bit.  Whos' bright idea was that???

Tell Pam I said hey...I've been way too busy lately and I miss chatting with her.

LOL about the Greens...Reminds me of a time I was sooo sick with a virus and, my youngest son, Adam, was worried about me and decided that I neede something in my stomach since everything I swallowed came right back up..So, he brings me a plate with cauliflower and Ranch dressing...Bless his Sweet little heart, little did he know that was about the worse thing he could have brought me at that time...I fought back the dry heaves until he left the room..and then...I let it rip..!! I will never Ever forget that, not because I was sick, but because he was so Precious..I can see it as if it were Yesterday...

It's funny for you to tell the story now, but I know at the time of your being sick, was not a funny story at all...I'll be sure to tell them NO COLLARD GREENS FOR ME, THANK YOU..!! LOL..!

I called Pam, and left a message since she wasn't at home...Will try and call her again, soon.
My Grand-Mother passed a way this morning..so the next few days will be a little hectic, but I hope to get in touch with her soon. I will be sure to give her your message.
