I am a lurker but also LW and RnYer (after SRVG).
I think in kilo so please bare with me. I am 152cm-5ft tall.
I started my journey at 121K back in 1992 and waited a year for my op.
I had complications aftwer weight-loss and gained some back but due to severe GERD I was approved for my RnY and was opped on 3 Feb,08.
I now weigh 81-82K and am scheduled for TT in April IF my HMO gives approval.
In any case, due to RnY malapsorbtion, I have been anemic.
My HmG was 11.8 (borderline) but I want to up it....so I paid lots of money on a liquid iron called Spatone and after upping my doses and after 3 weeks my HmG is 12.1
Now my "dilemna" is--should I buy more liquid , or go  back on the tablets (that I was taking 3 at a time w/Vit C).
Any advice from the more experienced appreciated.

Hi Mikimi,

Congrats on your weight loss! I hover on the anemia line, and in fact had macrocitic (sp?) anemia, which is a b12 deficiency, I had to correct before my plastics. I do not know if the liquids or tablets would be better for you- have you chosen a plastic surgeon yet you could ask?

I do know that cardio will help counter the effects of anemia to a degree, so if you can, start to increase your cardio. It also helps your body respond better to the long surgery.

All the best to you-

Thank you!
My B12 is high.
My Plastics-or as we call it here - if your want your HMO to cover it, Excess Skin Removal Surgey is scheduled for 11 April and has been on the roster since November 2010.
I have a medical review committee next Tuesday and it takes 2 weeks for their answer.
Of course I hope they approve otherwise I don't have the money.
