Really Considering Plastic Surgery

 I am so happy I had gastric and love the results when I have my clothes on but am so embarrassed when they clothes are off...really want a body lift/tummy tuck and augmentation/lift but am scared.   Does anyone know a good plastic surgeon in Washington area ( I live in Olympia and work in Seattle) so anywhere around those areas.  Also any advice is truly appreciated.  Can you get it all done at one time etc?  How much work do you miss etc?

When I was ready to start plastics, I asked my bariatric surgeon for the names of a few surgeons that he respects.

I also asked at my local WLS support group(s).

I got 3 names repeatedly --- and I set up consults with all 3 of them.

2 of the consults were free, the other one cost me 25.00 (applied to the cost of surgery if I chose that surgeon).  The consults were all quoted on paper and were good for 6 months from the date of the appointment.

You might get more info on local doctors if you ask your questions on the WA state board.

I live in Oregon and have been looking into bordering states for reputable plastic surgeons that have experience with post-gastric bypass patients and have come up with three names repeatedly.  Dr. Gavin Dry & Dr. Egari are both very experienced in lift surgeries.  Not sure of the price for Dr. Dry, but Dr. Egari is $$$.  Also, Dr. Braden Stridde in Federal Way is experienced in body lift procedures.  Not sure what Dr. Dry charges for consult but Egari charges $75 which will be applied to surgery.  Hope this helps.  I have had a couple of consults locally and am going to Phoenix, Az for 3 more this month.  I have been told by most of the patient coordinators that they like to do the LBL first then the upper body lift/breast lift augmentation etc. then the thigh lift, if necessary.

I have a consult scheduled with Dr. Dry in September, but I heard he is very pricey as well.  I will check out Dr. Egari.  Which doctor did you decide on after your consults?  I had Dr. Phillip Kierney do my breast augmentation and tummy tuck.  He did an excellent job.  Now I am looking for someone who specializes in butt and thigh lifts along with lipo.  Did you consult with Dr. Stridde too?  Thanks for any help you can give.

Since I live in Oregon, I booked an appointment with Dr. Michael Bohley in Portland for the facelift etc. and then found that he also has a lot of experience with body lifts.  I am having face work done first in August but will follow with LBL then BL/BA and brachioplasty.  His prices were very reasonable and I personally liked his approach.  I had booked potential appointments with a surgeon in Phoenix, who was well-known and reasonable but thought with the travel, etc. Portland would be a better choice for me.  I guess there are quite a few in Portland/Vancouver area who do this but aren't well known.  I know many (not all) have fees more in line with the economy in this area.  Most areas in California I found to be way out of reach.  Good luck with your search!
