2 1/2 weeks after my neck lift...

 Hi everyone - I'm a long-time lurker and this is my first time posting. I had a neck lift, mastoplexy and brachioplasty 2 1/2 weeks ago. I am healing fine, but I'm a little freaked out about my neck lift. I'm hoping those of you who've had neck lifts will tell me to calm down and stop freaking out. I've read in many places that it takes 3 - 6 months (if not longer) before you see the final results of your neck lift, but to be honest, I had hoped that the skin under my chin would be tighter. There's a little bit of swelling, but the skin feels soft and not tight like I'd expect.

What are your experiences? Will the skin under my chin tighten up? Should I just go back to healing and stop being a worrywart? I've posted "before" and "current" pictures in my profile.

I saw my surgeon last Friday, and he said that I should continue to wear the head garment constantly to keep the swelling down, but yesterday when I took it off to take my shower, I felt a lump (I'm pretty sure it's a swollen lymph node) under my jaw, and my husband suggested I leave the garment off for a day to see if the swollen lymph node goes down.

I'm sorry, I know I'm babbling, but I neeeeeeed reassurance. Help!

I had a  facelift and I found a lump in my face on each sid PS sai it was an internal stitch nd it would go away,and it did but I would mention it to him, I had some skin under the neck and he did a revision in his office OR and now i am satisfied but tell him now ifit bothers u so he ie is aware

Definitely discuss your concerns with your surgeon. I also had a neck lift in conjunction with my face lift and my neck was extremely tight from the onset. It was even a little difficult to swallow at first. It did loosen up over time but my skin stayed firm. The tightness was internal from the muscle tightening.

 Thank you both so much for your responses! I thought that there shouldn't be any sagging of my skin at this point, but just needed to hear it from others, I think. I will definitely address this with my surgeon when I see him next.
