Dr Katzen in Cali...I have some questions for his patients
Hello,
I had a gastric bypass 5 years ago and lost over 100lbs. I had some plastics about a year after having the bypass (a TT, BA/BL), but, unfortunately, I have had health problemssince then (unrelated to the bypass) that have left me bedridden for the past two years. I have now been left with a lot of loose skin on my legs/arms/and even under my chin. I believe these to be more from atrophe from muscles than losing the initial weight since I have gained a few pounds since I have been unable to work out etc. The lack of activity has left me with very little muscle tone. I NEED to have these problems fixed for my self-esteem, but I am needing to know if this is even remotely feasible as far as expense. Have any of you had thigh lifts with Dr Katzen? Lipo/ and or arm lifts? What are the fees? I think lipo under the chin would be enough for that area since I am only 39, and have nice facial skin in general. I am just looking for a general idea of what this stuff would cost. I would obviously consult with him etc., but there is no reason to even do that if it's way out of the ballpark, ya know?
Thank you for any information!

Why don't you call his office and ask? Most surgeons will do a free consult -- and provide you with a detailed quote -- that is good for 3 - 6 months.
I got 3 consults before I had my surgery --- 2 of them were free, the other one was 25.00 and that fee would have been applied to the surgery if I had chosen that particular doctor.

Hi Kath,
I wouldn't mind getting a consult normally, but I live over two hours from their office, and right now I am sharing a car with my hubby. I was just trying to get an idea at this point, and then if it's at all in the ballpark of what I was thinking it would be, I would go ahead with a consult. I didn't want to have to spend an entire day driving back and forth for the appointment etc., just to find out that it was way out of my range to begin with, you know?
Thank you so much though!
