Considering Arms Questions
Hi Jen-
So glad you've found anything I've said helpful :) My surgeon gave me silicone scar sheeting's to place on top of my brachioplasty incisions as they have fully healed- it helps flatten the scar and make it less noticeable, I think it is definitely helping. I will also put it on my breast lift incisions once they are fully healed. I had some scabs fall off and a teeny bit of bleeding so they still need to heal up a bit more- but saw the surgeon on Friday and he said no worries everything will heal just fine!
As far as lifting- I didn't really pick up anything the first week and gradually increased into the second week. I guess by the end of the second week I could have carried some light groceries but I had a lot of help thankfully. Several days after surgery i had been feeling pretty good and I went out to do some errands and the next day I felt terrible- just pushed myself too much so I decided to really take it easy after that. At 5 weeks out I feel like I could probably do some light weights, but I would skip running because i don't think my chest is ready for the bouncing. But, I have not resumed my workout regimen since I am going back into surgery in just a few days- I do worry that i will lose some of my fitness/stamina- but with surgeries so close together I really don't want to risk setting myself back due to over exertion. So really I'm using it as an excuse to be lazy lol. Truthfully, for the past couple weeks I have really felt fine and the recovery has been far easier than I expected.
I sent you a friend request with the plastics album PW. Those are taken about a week and a half post-op i will post updated pics in the next few days. Good luck on Monday, be sure to take before and after pics- you'll def want them, Looking forward to updates from you!

Thanks, your pix are great !, good luck and thank you for your well wishes, I will be in touch :)
I had my arms done in Oct. 2009 at the same time as a medial thigh lift. The arm recovery for me was the easiest. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I wouldn't wear sleeveless shirts before and now I live in them. I have pictures on my profile.
I think your quote is really high. Mine was in the ballpark of $5200.00 for the arms.

Well I am 2003 post op patient and had my arm lift on Momday (3/7/11)... Its something that I have been waiting on forever. I've done the lower body lifettwo years ago and ah complication, just very painful recovery.
With this procedure I had that arm left and breast life. So far there appears to be alot of selling, espcially the arms. So I hope they ill come out looking better. I realize they are not bat wing flappy, but stillthey have slight flight
