Went back to surgeon last week for scheduling...I have a plan!

Tummy tuck scheduled for 8/8/11. It is the soonest my schedule will allow. The surgeon has decided he wants to do that alone as it will be a big surgery. (I have alot of skin to remove!!)

He took a few more pics of my mons area. It is gonna take some work. Anyone have experience with that (ahem) area?

Arms and breasts will follow in 3 to 6 months depending on my healing.

That sound reasonable? I am kind of disappointed in that part of me wanted to get it all over with but I know that would have been a hell of a recovery. (I have been a surgical RN for 23 years. I know what lies ahead.)

I contacted my insurance company again with the plan to make sure all 3 approvals will remain intact. They assured me that they would.

I trust my surgeon's assessment and plan...but I still wonder.

Wondering your thoughts on the subject. Did you split mult procedures?

Thanks everyone!

Yes, my procedures were split, but not the same way.

I had the LBL/anchor, breast lift/reduction, and brachioplasty at the same time. The breast and arm work needed to be done together because of muscle issues, and the lower body was relatively simply as it was only skin.

I'm having thighs done next month, and would have had implants and touch up work at the same time, but neither is necessary.

I too wanted to get it done at once, but was told I was better off to have one part of my body that would function after each surgery, so things got separated.

Best of luck with yours - I hope your healing goes as well as mine is!

I had that "DREAM" that I wanted everything done at one time however, I am so glad that my doctor talked me out of it.

My doctor explained that you should only stay under for so long at a time.  That if you do to many things at one time you have to start getting multiple doctors working on you at one time etc.

I had a LBL in Feb 2009.  Then I had a breast lift in Dec 2009 with some Lipo.  WEDNESDAY I am having a Upper Body Lift (back) and my arms done.

The LBL was alot and I can't imagine having my arms done at the same time.  Having one half of the body working is a help!

Good luck and trust your doctor!!
