I'm getting a lower body lift this thursday the 24th as mass general... help?

WOW no way thats crazy..... small world! yeah she seemed awesome... cant believe its tomorrow... she she does mak eyou wear those... ok i was wondering that lol.... what kind of pain meds does she give? i know youll prob give me a pain pump right... via IV... but i guess there is this other thing they put on/in the insision to numb it... does she use that? sorry for all the qs... just crazy u had her!!

I got dilaudid for pain both in the hospital and for home.  I was on 2-4mg every 4 hours.  I've had half dozen surgeries in the past 2 years (my profile explains some of them) and dilaudid is the one they always give me.  Why change what works, right?

Nah...I had no pain pump but you might very well have one with the LBL.  I don't know what the norm is.  I know I had one w/ my panniculectomy but that was a different doc.

Hrm..nope.  Never heard of anyone putting anything on the incision to numb it.  Really, the nerves are cut to hell so you're generally numb already.  You'll feel some tugging/pulling/the occasional burn (especially if they lipo anything) but I wouldn't call it actual pain.

oh ok... well thank you so much for your help... its awesome i know someone that had her....makes me feel better!

 My LBL/TT is scheduled for March 25th.  I think your weekly You Tube updates is a great idea and I look forward to seeing your progress as I prepare for my surgery.  Good luck on Thursday!!!
