HELP! my insurance is driving me batty!!!

 So, according to my insurance company, a circumferential pannilectomy is a COVERED benefit after gastric bypass surgery when medically necessary. I have been doing the appeal process by myself and now I am just angry and frustrated. I don't see how I can fight this, when all my skin issues are WELL DOCUMENTED. Can someone PLEASE help??? Thanks!

I would say stop fighting on your own, get your plastics office to work for you... mine did along with my PCP and I was able to get a little more than half of the fee my plastic surgeon charged for my LBL covered plus the whole hospital bill (minus the hospital co-pay). They want you to get approved cause they want to get paid, so have them work for you. They also know what to say and how to word things so that it is covered.
