Brachioplasty rear scar?

This is a very old thread, but I am currently facing the same question and same reasons. My surgery is in a month, i would love to hear updates from any thread participants that did have the scars in the back and how you feel about living with them there. 

 

 

Thank you all for your responses. Most of you have confirmed what my surgeon told me. He did say while he recommends the rear scar he would do whatever makes me most comfortable. I'm just nervous about the whole process and self conscious what others will think of me. I hate the sagging skin and to see this ball of excess hang off my arms in photos, so I have to look at it as one above said, I'm trading the excess skin for a scar, which do I determine as the lesser of two evils..and I think that answer in the long run is the scar. I'm hoping as others above have said in time I will forget that I have them if I can't see them on a daily basis like I would on the inside of arms.

I will be calling today to finalize my surgery date of March 29th Yikees!!
