I have abdominoplasty and a breast lift scheduled for April 26th.  I am excited but also scared out of my mind.  I am paying for the whole thing since I don't have insurance.  Can anyone give me some words of encouragment so I know I am making the right decision?  It is so hard to imagine what it will be like without all the extra skin.

I had same procedures done on Jan 27 and and EXTREMELY Happy with my decision to do this and with the results. (You can look at my on my profile) I was feeling nervous and somewhat guilty in the weeks prior to, but I'm glad I did it and would do it a million times over.

Like you I'm nervous as crap too. I'm scheduled for March 29th to have a brachioplasty and breast lift done and am nervous about the procedure, the cost, what others will think. But also looking foward to not having the excess skin and what that will like.

Only we can decide if we are doing the right thing. it is great however to hear how everyone who has had things done is extremely happy with their results.

Me too!!! I am having the same procedures done on February 22nd - and it all came about so quickly, but I KNOW I am making the right decision. I can't imagine how exciting it's going to be (eventually) to not completely hate my stomach - either from hating it because it was too fat or now, because it is so floppy. Not to mention lifting the girls up! Right now I gotta tuck 'em into my pants if I'm not wearing a bra!

This is the next step in our journeys! I am really nervous too! I will post after I'm feeling a little better and let you know how it goes!

I had them done (and a bit more - see siggy) in December, and am going back for the thighs in March.

I am so thrilled! The pain was minimal, I can move so much better and clothing fits so much better, and it's amazing how much easier it is to stay clean without having to lift and pull and stretch parts just to wash them!

I actually got to get CUTE bras at VS at the end of their semi-annual sale for the first time in 20 years!!! (and cute other things - but the bras are literally adorable and not just functional!).

My scars are healing well, although I'm now starting to get the "jabs" from regenerating nerves, but that's minimal in comparison to what I was afraid the pain right after surgery would be.
