My left breast has "settled" and is fine - no pain, no soreness, but the right one refuses to cooperate.  The Dr gave me a "breast band" to wear across the top of my breasts to try and help them settle.  I've been wearing it since last Wednesday.

Now - I'm right handed.  I've "pulled" the muscle 3-4 times doing ordinary things (or seemed to be****il I reached too far (and high).  Each time I've done that its taken 2 days or so to feel "ok" again.

The right one also feels like its trying to bulge at the side.  I say that because when I feel the difference betwen the 2, I can feel the implant (I think) on the right side but not the left.

I had saline implants under the muscle if that helps.

So my question is - what do you do to make your implants settle to where they need to be?  My right one really is giving me fits and is very sore.

I don't go back to the Dr for 3 1/2 more weeks.

Thanks for any input!

I had the same problem you did - this was 3 years ago.  My plastic surgeon had me wear the same band you are wearing - and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.  Mine didn't and I had to have a revision a few months later.   The surgeon didn't charge me for his services or the the dr that puts you out (can't spell anest....!) but I did have to pay for the surgery center.  I live in Traverse City too!

Please keep me posted on how you are doing and feeling. Thinking of you...my surgery date is 3/11.
Was there a lot a pain following? Are you back to work? What is time period they told you to take off?

Loulou - Congratulations on your upcoming surgery!

As far as pain, yes.  But I've figured out I'm a wimp - lol.  I took my pain meds for the first 4-5 days.  Now its just sore.  My biggest issue was sleeping.  I did better being propped up in bed with a bunch of pillows for the first couple of weeks.  I can now lay flat or on my side to sleep, but when I get up I have to hold them because of the soreness. Almost feels like I have to wait for the implants to settle back down - I'm sure that's not it, but how it feels.

I took 3 weeks off, but I've heard and was told by my Dr that most people go back to work after a week.  I really would have needed 2 weeks - I was still napping.

I also pulled my right side muscle a few times. I've found that you really don't use your arm muscles as much as you think you do, but a lot of my strength was from my chest muscles.  Pulling downward didn't work well for me... I was closing the back hatch on my trailblazer and twice pulled the muscle.  Took 3 days each time for it to settle back down.  I'm sure that is a contributing factor as to my internal scar tissue issue.

Now, my lollipop scars look very good.  I think you're a friend of mine - did you go look at my pictures?

I went to the Dr yesterday, and he thinks I have scar tissue building up on the right side, where its very tender and sore.  I have to massage and rub as much as I can - of course that's difficult to do at work!

I had my surgery downstate, so a 4 hour drive each way for a 10 min appt isn't something I look forward to, but I'm glad I went.

Always glad to see another from TC on here!
