Thigh Lift and Lateral Hip Lift Recovery Going Great

Everything is going great and lots better than I anticipated.  The surgery took about 4.5 hours and she removed 5 pounds of skin :)  The pain is really pretty tolerable and not as excruciating as I had set myself up for.  Can't wait to go for followup on Wednesday to see if I can get these pesky drains out, but if not I know they will be out sooner than later.

Can really tell a difference in my thighs and hips already.  Mom says they look like they did when I was in highschool.  Not sure about that, but I will take it :)    Very happy right now.

Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes.

I'm fairly new on the PS board -- what exactly is a thigh and lateral hip lift?  Where are the incisions?  Does it also include lipo?

Hi there.  She did everything at once - lipo, thigh lift and the hip lift.   The thigh lift involves incisions from inside my thigh beginning at my knee cap and going all the way to the groin.  The hip lift is an incision on both hips from the hip bone around to the middle of my back on both sides.  She took off that excess skin that lifted the hips and outer thigh to give it a smoother look.
I am very happy with the results so far.  Still very sore but everyday is closer to being better.  I'm able to get myself up and down from the recliner, bathroom, and walk around the lower level of my home.

Good luck with your exploration into PS.  One piece of advice is to get 2-3 opinions from different surgeons :)
