Panni removal-Help with Mons
HI All!!
Just writing to see if anyone has had just a panni removal and it has by chance helped with the mons area? I have seen a surgeon and will be asking if it helps at all. Im looking for even a small improvement.
Thank you all

It may or may not. The problem with some pannis is the mons gets pulled up too high leading to the incision being under the belly button and too much hair-bearing skin raised too high. Hard to fix, not pretty.
The excess mons skin needs to be removed so be sure your doc tells ou what he will do and shows you photos of what to expect.

13 lbs of skin removed during TT....wow-wee!......I now really wonder how much mine weighs because my pannus hangs to wear I cannot see my va-jay-jay unless I lift it up....
that is what still makes me look so big and why I don't buy many clothes post-op.....it is really heavy from years of obesity and carrying 10 kids!...
what will they do to your "MONS area" when you go for arms and breasts...I would like to ask my surgeon!...OMG I am actually standing in the mirror trying to figure out this whole concept of "MONS"

I have lost 150 pounds and have had most Plastic surgery procedures for skin removal. I now work as a nurse for my plastic surgeon. The mons area is basically your pubic area. Most of us who were mobidly obese carried alot of weight there. When we lost the weight , well this area can be left looking distorted and large or bulbus. One Pt said she thought she looked like she had man parts when she wore a swim suit. The Palstic Surgeon i work for always includes fixing this area with the belt lipectomy. We use Lipo to pull ou the extra fat and the if needed he will excise the excessive skin. We had a PT who came to us for Brachioplasty and had had an extended abdominalplasty done by a different surgeon, the other surgeon did not fix her Mons and she was very disssapointed. You may not think about it right now, but trust me once the extra skin is off your tummy, you may wish you had addressed it. Talk to your surgeon before so you know ahead of time and can make deccisions appropriatly.
Absolutely ask about the Mons area. I know several who had panni's removed and nothing done for the Mons because they didn't ask and the surgeon didn't ask. Anyway, they look like they have a scrotum. No kidding, it's very sad.
I know mine was horrible and it was lifted properly with my TT. I think it's the best part of my TT.
