1 month out and ABS still kill!!

 My ab muscles still ache as much today (1 month out) as they did 2 weeks ago.  When will the discomfort end?  My healing is actually amazing (see pix) but he corseted the muscles A LOT and really that is the only area I remain sore. My tummy is super flat!!!  How much longer?  I still take 1/2 percocet with 1 advil twice a day and thought by now it would be significantly better.

The breast reduction and lift were a breeze and the TT area of work feels great - but my ABS!!!hurt

I had a LBL with muscle tightening on December 9th and my muscles still hurt to cough or sneeze or laugh.  I don't know how long it is supposed to take but I am 8 weeks and 3 days post op and still have the soreness.  You say your tummy is super flat, do you have any swelling.  I seem to have a lot of sweeling.  My waist measurement is the same as my hips.

 Yes, my swelling is on the top of my tummy - actually puffy under my bra area.  I am so scared that I wont be able to travel on March 3 - a trip planned last year - with a 6 hr. flight (which we were able to make 1st class for my comfort).  I was assured that I would be "fine" then since I would be 2 months out.....I am still living in my post surgery outfits!!  and I feel dumpy.

8 weeks seemed to be the turning point.  My abs still hurt a little when I cough or sneeze but most of the time they are fine.  And the hypersensitivity from the breast lift is finally improved.

Were you self pay?

I had the VSG done Aug 2010. 

 Yes I was self - pay.  So was my lapband.  Both are money well spent.
 
I interviewed 5 surgeons from locally and in NYC and Northern Jersey as well.  I loved Dr. Chang Sue Kim the moment I met him. He is in Freehold.  His work is amazing and he was Yale undergrad and Post-grad  winning all major plastic awards......super patient, great bedside manner - just a wonderful man.

Nice to meet you and if I were to do it all again - the sleeve sounds like the tool for me - but I LOVE MY BAND!!!!
