tightness/discomfort in forearms post brachio?
For those who have had brachioplasty, did you experience tightness or pain in your forearms? I am 2 weeks out and can not extend my arms forward all of the way. extending them does not cause any pain on my incisions, but there is tightness and pain in my forearms along my radius. Supination and even pulling up my sleeves is uncomfortable as is putting on a jacket.
I did mention this to my surgeon last week and he said to not let them get too tight which I think i might have; I am trying to strech them out a bit, but ugh it hurts :(
Did this happen to anyone else?

My forearms are sore in places. When I reach or if I'm just sitting here. Not sure if it's the garment that comes part way down the forearms. I'd thought it could have been the veins that I had a problem with, but not close enough to cause a problem. The upper arms aren't too bad, unless I stretch for something. Trying not to do that.

My forearms are KILLER!!! They feel so sensitive to touch that even brushing my sleeve over them is uncomfortable, and they constantly ache, only on the underside (the part that doesnt tan in the summer, lol).
My surgeon told me that is because they come very close to a huge nerve in the upper arm surgery, which controls this whole area, and it is completely normal to have pain/numbness, but it will get better. It has nothing to do with compresion garments, from what I understand. That is the most tender area on me, still, and I have never worn a compression garment on my arms.

OK- thanks for the input ladies; just wanted to make sure this was not out of the norm.
I guess I will apply heating pads and continue to stretch a little bit since my surgeon made a point in telling me not to let it get too tight. hope you're all feeling better!
