where to get arms done in Nashville?

I have cross posted to DS forum.

I am almost 18 months out from my DS and have a hernia requiring surgery.  It is not really known if this incisional (I had  2" hand port right above the naval) or was perhaps always there and hid really well under all the poundage.   At any rate, may as well tummy tuck while we are in there.  My preference would be to spend PS dollars on my arms first, so I am looking into combining all three.  Primary doc says start with finding the plastic surgeon and see who they can and will work along  side for the hernia.  I don't even know if all three procedures at once is feasible, but if it is, I am looking for someone who is really good at the arm reduction cuz that is what will really show.  Anybody had their arms done in Nashville?

Which hospital would you likely be doing your hernia surgery at? I can give you some references at the different hospitals

Drs. Mary Gingrass & Mindy Haws (http://www.theplasticsurgerycenterofnashville.com) are 1st class and have a lot of experience on the MWL patient. Their office is near Baptist Hospital where they do most of their surgery.

Dr. Pat Maxwell (http://www.maxwellaesthetics.com/) is one of the world's more famous breast surgeons and also does a good bit of body/face procedures. I think his new office is near Green Hills but he does surgery at Baptist as well.

Dr. Brian Tierney (http://www.tierneymd.com/) is a close friend of mine who trained with me at the University of Louisville. He does some of everything and has an office at Baptist Hospital. I believe he does also go to most of the other metro hospitals (Centenial, St Thomas)

Dr. Robert Garza (http://www.garzasurgery.com) is a friend of mine as well whom I was part of his surgery clinical faculty when he trained at UAB. He is very well trained in these types of post MWL surgery. His office is at St. Thomas but he goes everywhere else in town as well.

I was Mary, Mindy, & Pat's fellow a number of years ago and think the world of them. They will likely be a little more expensive then Brian & Robert as they've been there longer. As I have personally operated with each of these doctors a number of times I can honestly say I'd let any of them operate on me or my family without reservation.

Thank you so much for your reply and reccomendations.  I am not particuar choosy about which hospital, just wherever the confluence of hernia repair, plastic surgery and insurance coverage will work out the best.  I am going to look at your blog now!

Let me know if you have any ?'s once you start doing some research in Nashville on this. If you have any issues I may be able to help you facilitate your appointment with a phone call or email as (these are all friends or mentors of mine).

sorry if the blog is a little out of date, I've had little energy to work on it  recently but I've got about a dozen posts in various states of completion.
