Considering plastics
Hello all,
I had my DS on 3/1/10 & I've lost 100 so far! Woo fricking hoo! Now to give you all a little context, I had a breast reduction 6/04 at the time it was what i felt i needed to do. Since i've lost so much weight everything is droopy, I don't believe that I'm obsessed with self-improvement because I like the new body that I have...it's the droopiness that is annoying to me. I'd like an Arm Lift, possible implants(I feel stupid even writing that), TT, Thigh lift, fat transfer to butt & that's it. I'm 31, no kids and I was wondering if I should wait to have children before I have any plastics done?
I'm wondering the following:
How long after WLS can I have plastics done?
I'm considering Mexico or Costa Rica, any advice on surgeons in those places?
How much do you think I can expect to pay for all of this (i'll probably do it in parts)?
I'm trying to get this process started, so i'm open to advice & suggestions
Thanks!

Hi! Congrats on the 100 lbs loss!!! it's an awesome accomplishment!
Typically surgeons feel that you should be at or as close to your goal weight as possible and maintaining for about 6+ months. I started plastics 2 weeks ago even though im 30lbs above my ideal weight. But I am almost 2 years out from my RNY and i have been gaining and losing the same 5 lbs for quite some time now so I guess this is where my body wants to be. Both my bariatric and plastic surgeons agreed I was ready to proceed with plastics.
I am having my surgeries here in the US so I do not know much about surgeons outside of the country but many here have used Dr. S in Mexico and rave about him- I'm sure one of his patients will reply with info regarding his work, prices etc.
As far as advice I would just reccommend to be as healthy and physically fit as you can be for plastics. building up core, leg/glute strength is really helpful for mobility immediately post plastics and will likely give you a better aesthetic result when all is said and done. And even if you're not planning plastics for a while, still come to the board and read the posts- I have been for a while and there are some really great folks here who have a lot of info and experience to share- i really learned a lot from all of them.
I wish you much continued success!
