Muscle Pull post LBL?

I'm about 8 weeks post LBL so I'm not really limited in terms of activity at this point.  I'm feeling a little bit of pain about 4-6 inches right of my belly button when I move certain ways.  This started after moving some snow...nothing that seemed too strenous. Should I be worried?  Anyone with a similar experience?  I am hoping it is just an ever so slight pull that will resolve quickly.

PS I did try to call my surgeon's office but thy are closed due to weather. I didn't feel like this is urgent enough to have him paged or anything but it is hard not to be a worry wart. ;-)
Thanks!

I had the same problem at about the same time out from sugery after shoveling snow. Problem is gone after about a week of no snow to shovel. I hope I can avoid straining the muscles again while I am out shoveling tonight.

Thanks Cathy...that helps to know.  Be careful out there...the snow has been out of control.

Hi,   it could be a muscle pull or it could be scar tissue pulling.  My Doctor asked me if I had that kind of pain (adheasions) and I said no.  I am not a doctor and you should check with yours when you are able, but there should not be stiches where you describe so it does sound like either a muscle pull (with rest will heal) or scar tissue pulling.  Just my opinion.

Anyway, my suggestion is to get someone else to move the snow for you and you take it easy.

Good luck.

Thanks Valerie.  I'm going to see my surgeon tomorrow. My fingers are crossed that he says just take it easy and it isn't anything to worry about. Lesson learned...no more shoveling for me!
