Anyone willing to share your before/after pics??
Hey all :)
I had my DS about a year and a half ago and my first round of plastics (tummy tuck and arm lift) about three weeks ago. I have been reading all the posts and scouring the archives looking for before and after pics. I am at the stage where I am watching my incisions like a hawk, wondering what they will look like, how they will turn out, if they look normal... its like watching pain dry!! I know several of you brave souls have before and after photos of your experiences and I was hoping to compile one thread for those out there, like me, who are desperate to see other's journeys!!
After my check up tomorrow i will be taking some after photos and will add my pics to the list!! :)
Just wanted to extend a really big thanks to all of you who have shared your pictures, this is deeply personal, but unequivocally helpful to the rest of us, I commend your bravery. Now, lets see those scars ;)

I had mine 3 weeks ago as well and I'm watching mine as well ... praying nothing opens back up or I develop a seroma or anything.
I plan on starting my "scar treatment plan" tomorrow after my shower. I'll be using silicon sheeting as it was recomended by my surgeon and have heard good reviews on it here. My doc said no massage or anything else is needed if you use the sheeting.
Are you using anything?
I can take some close up shots of my scars if you are interested. I've mostly done body comparison shots so far.

Hey Tom,
YES, I would love to see your scars!!! (lol, what a funny thing to say)
I have been doing a scar treatment, for about the past week. I am using a product called ScarGuard, which my surgeon provided me with before surgery. It looks like a bottle of nail polish and you sort of paint the silicone on to your scars. I'm pretty sure the ingredients are roughly the same as the silicone tape strips... and to be honest, I'm getting about ready to switch over to the tape strips because they seem lower maintenance. But, I can say, that in the short time that I have been using this product I have seen RESULTS!! Not sure if this is just the natural healing process, or it is being accelerated by the ScarGuard, but I am seeing improvement.
The progress doesnt stop me from my nail biting, lol. One of my arms looks SIGNIFICANTLY better than the other, and I'm kinda like... what gives?? But my surgeon told me that you cant rush the healing process... they will fall, and fade, and lighten in their own time and you shouldnt play guessing games cause you just never know...
I guess thats why I find it helpful to see other's photos, because it reenforces that this IS infact, a process.

Ok here are some pictures of the front of my LBL and my Arms I took this morning - 3 weeks out for both of these. Note the belly skin is starting to peel ... but wanted to take pictures before the shower because otherwise it would probably look more red then it is. I'm also still pretty swollen in the front. My one arm seems to be doing better then the other. I started with some silicon sheeting today! Overall I'm pretty pleased for only 3 weeks and no treatment for scars used yet in these pics.

Tom,
Thanks so much for taking the time to take and post your pics!!!
It is amazing to me that your arm incisions only go half way down the arm, how cool... I am envious!!! Mine go all the way, and I am still experiencing numbness/sensitivity/discomfort in the whole of my lower arms... weird, huh?
I will take some more arm pics to post tomorrow. I took some... but the lighting was weird and the flash was making them blurry. Hope to have those up tomorrow :)
You look like you are healing so well, let me know how the silicone sheeting works for you!!!
ps- I saw that you're a runner too... NYC marathon, right? AWESOME!!! do you have another race planned?? I will be happy to get back out on the trail. I NEVER in a million years would have thought I'd be saying this... but I kinda miss my runs!!
