Sex post op???

Ok, I know I should ask the Dr. but it is kinda hard for me to ask the Dr. this..

When are we clear to engage in sex after a LBL? I remember seeing in my paperwork that we had to wait for a specific period of time but I forgot how long we had to wait and I am to embarrassed to ask.. lets face it when you are standing in front of the Dr. with no clothes on (he is a man and you are a woman) it is kinda awkward to ask..

My paperwork said 6 weeks but when my husband asked the doctor at a visit at 5 weeks out he said it was up to me and how I felt and if I felt like I wanted to, go for it.  I think it is up to you.  I had a LBL, breast lift and arm lift at the same time and we did have sex for the first time at about 5 weeks post op.  Have fun!

I kinda got messed up, I had my LBL on 12/30 then had to go back to OR to have a blood clot removed on 1/17 so I kinda started over...
