1 month post hernia repair/TT: Abdominal Pain & swelling increasing

Sooo, recovery had been slowly progressing, but I noticed some swelling thru the upper abdomen 2 days ago.  I had a post op visit already scheduled with my PS so I asked her - she was a little concerned and felt I needed to consult my hernia surgeon.  I called yesterday morning, they said doc was booked out for a month, but they'd call me back.  The nurse calls me back tonite at 7pm, says they can see me next Thursday, and I should expect more pain with multiple hernia repairs.  I say what do you mean, multiple hernias?  She says she's looking at the op report and it states I had 4 different hernias fixed!  I am really angry - surgeon told me one hernia.  I don't want to fly off the handle - maybe there's something I'm missing in her translation of the report?  All I know, is that up to a few days ago, the swelling was gone, stomach was nice and firm, and pain was reducing. My upper stomach is now bulging out, pain has increased  - but no fever, nausea, or vomiting, so they're not concerned.  Should I be?

Thanks, Susan, yep wearing the compression band constantly.  Last week, I did return to the pool, but kept workouts light.  I haven't gone to the pool this week at all, especially once the pain increased. Maybe I did just strain those muscles, which in turn made the swelling return.
