Tanning?

I had a tummy tuck Dec.16th. The gym I go to has tanning beds. I didn't know if I could tan this far out or if I'm even suppose to tan because of the surgery scars. Anyone know the rules for tanning after surgery? Thank-you.....

ask your DR. but I think it is to early to tan for the scars the skin is still healing and when you tan your scars get darker and this early out they could burn be careful

I am a tanner. I kept my scars covered with all of my procedures in the first year. I am tanning now and with my most recent procedure from 2 months ago, which has my incisions on my bra line, I am wearing a bathing suit top to keep the fresh scars covered. The longer you avoid them to exposure the better.

Dr S told me to use high sun block for at least 6 mo or longer.

I'm a faithful tanner and my Dr. told me that I could tan 8 weeks after surgery, and it was up to my discretion on how, when and with what, etc.  So, I started back up with and never looked back!
