Intro and question about fees

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum. I had DS surgery a few months ago. Still a looong way from plastics, but never too early to start saving, right? Anyway, this is a general question---when I read about plastic surgery procedures costing $3,000, $4,000, $5,000---is this just the surgeon's fee or is this all inclusive (hospital stay, etc.). Sorry if this is a dumb question--the prices do seem low to be all inclusive, but wanted to make sure. If this does not include the hospital stay, about how much extra does that cost?

TIA for your responses.

I think any quotes that low are probably for out of country.  Those prices are usually all inclusive.  I just had my secnond round of plastics on Tuesday.  Each operation required a one night hospital stay.  I have now had a lower body lift, brachioplasty, medial thigh lift, and bl/ba.  I will tell you that with what I have paid I could be driving a very nice new car (i've spent around $27000) .  But I feel like my journey was not done until plastics were completed.  Very few insurance companies cover plastics, and if they do its usually limited to a panni removal.  A lot of people here have gone to Dr. Sauceda in Mexico.  His prices are very reasonable and from what I've seen of his work he is awesome!
Whatever route you take remember revisions are usually required since weight loss patients skin is so different.  Good luck on your journey!

I think that it varies between each Dr. I received a quote from one for $7800 for breast augmentation whi*****luded everything but they send you home same day. It would be done in their surgical suite, so no hospital. I also received a quote from another for $5300 for breast augmentation which would also be done in his surgical suite all inclusive with no overnight stay. They advised if I wanted overnight stay it would be about $900 more. Both of these surgeons were local area so not out of country.

Hope that helps,

Susan

I had a TT the surgeon fee was 4k ish and the total was 7K ish.  If I had a BL/BA at the same time it would be 15K for all.  I think the breasts alone were 9K or so.

All my body work was done in one surgery, with an epidural and under twilight sedation.  I had the LBL, upper thigh lift, BL, and arms, along with lipo for my muffin top, arms, mons... for $15K.  That included time in the clini****il Dr S thought it was safe for me to return to the hotel, for up to 12 days is included.  I'm 9 days post op from all the body work and 4 days from my full facelift.  I couldn't be happier with my results.  This way, I'll have one recovery period.  Which was important for me.  I'm visited daily by Dr S and his nurse to help me shower and get back into my garments.  I've been to the movies the last 2 afternoons, and doing pretty darn good for almost being 60!

Wow, under twilight sedation? That's almost scary, but good to know. The pricing is a lot lower than I was expecting.

Good luck with your recovery and upcoming face lift.

It depends on the area of the country and the procedure

I was quoted 4,000.00 for a bi-lateral brachio (Tucson) by 2 different surgeons.

I opted for a different surgeon, and a brachio with a breast lift and paid a little under 9K.
That covered the pre-ops, surgery center for a 4 hour out-patient procedure, anesthesia, nurses, follow up -- and 12 months of post-op care.

Thanks everyone for the great info. I'm certain I'll need my deflating breasts done. Probably no implants, though, just reshaping. And I've always had cottage cheese thunder thighs, so an upper thigh lift as well.
