PS Consult approved

Well, I am excited that my consult was approved by my insurance company. I was totally shocked that I got referred to a wonderful Dr in our area. I know several patients that had been to him and my PCP said that he operates on quite a few physicians spouses too. I feel confident in him but I am very nervous about getting approved for the Panni. I wanted to talk with him about having implants done. My breasts are very small  now. Before WLS I was a 46 G and now I am 34 A/B. I have been told that my breasts are glandular now and have no fat. I have been going for exams and mamograms every 6 months. I don't mind paying for my breast surgery which is the most important to me but I am hoping that I could pay for the breast aug and have the panni at the same time. Do you think that is possible?

Thanks Susan

Susan,
I think its very reasonable to do breasts when you are doing panni.  A lot of people will add on procedures since they will already be in the operating room on insurances dime!!!

Insurance approval is all about documentation. In addition to the pictures your surgeon will take, he will be looking for all other drs notes on health problems related to excess skin and fat. Make sure you do not underreport your issues.

As far as having mutiple surgeries is concerned: most people do that b/c they cannot afford the cost of having them seperately even with insurance.

Thanks so much for your response.I hope that all will go well. Im not sure if I will get approved for the TT but I hope so. If not, then it's not the end of the world.

Thanks again,

Susan
