Silicone Implants

Hello All.

First, yes I will follow up with a doctor's visit but I wanted to obtain your opinions and real life advise.

I had my breast lift and augmentation 12/2006.  Around October 2010, I noticed that one breast appeared either higher than the other or larger/smaller than the other.  I, of course, went into panic mode.  I called the plastic surgeon(s) and was advised to get a MRI or mammogram.  I could not afford the MRI and the insurance would not pay for it.  So, I opted for the mammogram.  The mammogram did not show any leakage.  I am certain that one of my breasts is bigger than the other one.

Question:  Has anyone had their implants removed and what was the outcome (i.e. saggy breast?).

I don't want these implants anymore but I am not sure if that is an option.

Also, my inner thighs are very SAGGY.  What was the recovery time for those of you who had the inner thigh skin removed?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH….for your responses.

The MRI issue is one of the reasons I opted for saline implants. If your implants are filling out your skin and providing you with fullness as they should, then yes, I would say that removing them is going to cause some sagginess. I don't think that could be avoided. Having them removed is always an option but you won't look the same and you might not be happy with the results. Swapping them out for saline could be an option. What procedures can be done after removing the implants I am not sure of. That's definitely a question for your plastic surgeon.

My medial thigh lift was the most challenging procedure I had as far as recovery. The incisions for me were in my groin and extended down my thigh to just above my knee. I had no issues healing and felt pretty good after about 4 weeks. I didn't have to return to a job so my recoveries were never depending on time constraints.

Best of luck to you!

Renee
