I am going to have plastics soon and am looking for recomendations for plastics out of the country. I am self pay and cannot afford the prices in the USA. I need a tummy tuck and maybe new boobies, or considering an LBL. I have been looking at surgeons in Mexico a well as the Caribbean, but would entertain the idea of going almost anywhere. I love to travel. Would be very grateful for any imput. Thanks.

Congratulations Summer!  I had researched plastic surgery several years ago and actually had some lipo when I lived in Singapore.  Too expensive there, but Thailand actually has some facilities that do a "travel pak plastic surgery".  I also hear that Brazil does fairly inexpensive plastic surgery.  I have friends in Brazil if you need additional information.  Not sure if they would know but I can ask.  I also have friends in Singapore that may know or know someone to discuss Thailand.  I have been to Thailand many times and absolutely love the country.

Good luck and congrats again!

I went to Costa Rica to Dr Pino for a bunch of work, and many here like Dr Sauceda in Mexico, but whether your going outside the country or not, do lots of research on whatever surgeon you want.

For surgeons outside the US, I liked to look at pictures of their previous work and talk to other patients at PSjourneys.com.

I went to Dr. Sauceda as well.   He takes excellent care of you and you are safe with him.   Cost was very very good.  I had a very large tummy tuck thanks to my very large tummy , reduction with implants and a neck life for $11,400.  This would include a $600 flight discount, hotel stay, pick up by his driver from airport to the hotel, and he'll drive you back and forth from the hotel to his clinic.  Oh, and two sets of compression garments.   His work is very good.   You can see other patients there now that are posting on his board.

Hey, bikerchickk.  Haven't seen you in awhile.

There's a lady on the plastics board that had seriously extensive PS in Jordan (I think) and she had a fantastic experience and saved lots of money.  Maybe you could look back and find her or ask a question about Jordan and she might respond.  For awhile she was posting her story every few days.

I'm researching plastics too and I actually found a doctor in my city that's w/in $1,000 of the quote I got from Mexico.  Plus it's out patient and Mexico is a 10 day trip!  I have another consult this Friday.  Interesting and scary. . .

I think your statement about Poland is a little harsh... Considering I have been to 3 well known clinics in Belgium there was nothing Beverly hills about it...

Due an absurd law in Belgium all plastics is done on a day case basis and you are shipped to a local hotel with nothing more than the PS's mobile telephone number. This happens at BeClinic, Beaucare, Elyzea to name a few... Is this safe??? The surgeons have good reputations but I sure as heck can tell you that I'm glad I had 3 days in the Polish clinic after my tummy tuck as i certainly wouldn't have been in any safe condition to get out of bed never mind leave the clinic and take a taxi to the hotel...

I've had 2 procedures in Poland and The hospital chain EMC that I used are award winning several years in a row.. I agree there are good and bad surgeon everywhere and you should make a choice with the assistance of recommendation - I recommend my surgeon and hospital 100% and feel that maybe you shouldn't paint a whole population the same based on a 3rd hand opinion.

Hi Summer!  I always recommend Mexico because it is close, easy to travel in, and very inexpensive.  There are many good plastic surgeons, and I can give you some names of surgeons I researched, if you like.  I ended up going with Dr. Luque in Mexicali, and am having my surgery tomorrow.  I am having a breast-lift and may have liposuction as well, but Dr. Luque was willing to do basically anything I wanted for a killer price!  I'll let you know how it goes!

Yes, when Secret Surgery has to write her own reviews, it is a sad state of affairs.  I personally have had a bad experience with Secret Surgery, so wouldn't recommend their services to anyone!  Take the money, but don't give the service - so don't go there!  However the EMC hospital I couldn't fault, so go direct would be my recommendation kiss
