Thigh Lift.....
I had a medial thigh lift on December 15th and my surgeon took off 6 lbs of skin!...my results are AMAZING. (THANKS TO DR. KASDEN!)
At what point can I expect to feel somewhat normal?? I still walk stiffly and run out of energy very quickly. It's been a whole month! I'm starting to feel a little depressed and frustrated. It is difficult and tedious to do even small work tasks.
Thanks for any input!

Congrats! I'm afraid I don't have an answer to your question but I do have a question for you.
Have you had any other plastics procedures that you can compare the thigh lift to? My thighs defnitely need it but I'm really hesitant on having one. I did well with LBL, BL and brachioplasty but the thigh work sounds tough.
Hang in there!

It is the only procedure I have had so far for plastics. My thighs were HORRIBLE and it was the part I most wanted corrected. I will have a lower body lift, bl/ba, and arms with the same surgeon. Everyone in the office has told me this is the WORST because of where the incisions are. The toughness of the recovery probably has a lot to do with how much cutting gets done. My surgeon had to cut under my rear, in the crease of my thighs, and then all the way down to my knees.
I know it will be worth it but I just so want to get back to normal!

If you did okay with the surgeries you've had I would think you wouldn't have any problems with the thigh lift. I've had several procedures including a thigh lift on October 30th of last year. My incision is in the groin area and half way down my thigh. For the first week or so it's uncomfotable getting in and out of bed and getting on and off the toilet. It has taken 6 weeks to be able to exercise comfortably but it's certainly been worth it.
Hi there,
I had a thigh lift and TT with muscle tightening on December 13. The thigh life was much worse than the TT, but well worth it!
My pre-plastics thighs were horrible! Take a look at my profile for the before and after. I am still very swollen and sore, but I am happy with the result and I'm looking forward to wearing shorts and short skirts.

I will be happy to share before and afters as soon as my legs look good enough to take an "after". The swelling is still significant in one leg. I will warn you though, the before WON'T be pretty!
It is really scary. Be sure your surgeon gives you something for anxiety before you go in. It really helps.

I had a medial thigh lift on October 30th. I took three weeks off from work and only worked half days the first week back. It takes at least six weeks to heal. I still wear a compression garment if I'm going to be walking or standing for more than an hour or so. Feels great to wear slacks (without the compression garment) and not see the lump from all the extra skin.
Hi Amanda
I had my medial thigh lift and TT on Dec.14!! I had a few complications with my left leg so i'm healing a little slower on that side. 6 weeks is the time my surgeon gave me off work. I may have to take 8 wks if he has to restitch the area I had a hemotoma in. It's still hard to walk straight and i'm still using a toilet seat riser. Try to stay positive...your body has been thru alot!! Give yourself time to heal. My surgeon said I will be changing alot over the next 6 months. I'm doing a little walking like 10 or 15 mins a day..I just started that this week. I'm also drinking protein shakes daily, make sure you are getting your protein in :-)
I'm still swollen but I'm really happy with the results so far. Gone are the cascading skin folds in my groin area!! So happy I made this decision.
Hope this helps:-)

Hi Amanda,
I just had a medial thigh lift done a week ago, and I feel positively miserable because of where all the stitches are and how uncomfortable they are. My legs are pretty swollen, which has alot to do with the discomfort, I suspect.
Do keep us updated as to how things are going for you. I'm feeling frightened, like I'll never return to any kind of "normal".
