Here in Monterrey, Mexico I watched Whats Eating Gilbert Grape, and of course it brought out all sorts of memories and emotions.
As I was growing up, my father a very kind and loving man that usually weighed over 500lbs.
He had special jumpsuits that my mother would had made for him, It was at a time in the 60´s and 70´s where there weren't´t so many super obese people as there are these days, and the comments you would get from people were anything from turned heads, to stares, to down right rudeness, And of course growing up in a home like that my sister and my self always had our own weight problem.
After countless successful and unsuccessful diets (He once lost over 200 lbs on Weigh****chers) it got the best of him and during the CCambridge diet he committed Suicide after we had had an augment at our family  garden center business.
The pressure of being overweight in our society can be so overwhelming, especially to the demands that is expected of women.
It is so fantastic that there is a family of OH forums to share with you need desires and guilt.... and thankfully success and dreams that are for me at least are becoming a reality.
I dedicate this last round of Plastic Surgeries to my father, to my ex girl friend Beverly who showed me the way as she is so beautiful and what can be done if you put your mind to it and to ALL those brave souls that would not except life as a joke or an outcast and risked there live so other may have a happy healthily life,
With tears in my eyes, I bless you all for being my family...

I love What's Eating Gilbert Grape!  I forgot all about that movie, I haven't seen it in many years. Reading your post gave me goose bumps.  What doesn't break us makes us stronger is the saying that comes to mind.  Thanks for sharing your story.
