TT - 6 days PO crease in belly
Keep an eye on it - but be patient.
I posted on here in a panic because of the "fold" in my brachio scar at the tip of the L. It was pretty deep, and the skin actually folded over (with the hairy part inside - have fun shaving THAT!!).
Anyway - by 2 months it has all settled and evened out. And even if it hadn't - my PS would have fixed it. I'm sure yours will as well if needed.

I have a line too, I had my LBL on 12/30. I went to my PCP today with a sinus infection and had her look at it since I don't go back to my plastics guy till Friday and she said it was due to the swelling and will go away. She said that the belly button is one of the hardest areas to heal and to not worry unless it gets red (bright red), hot and ***** She also said that the reason it is hard to heal is the skin gets pushed together by the compression garment and it is an area that naturally stays moist .
I am so so swollen, I say I look 3 months PG but I stood next to a GF who is 3 months PG and my swelling is more than her baby bump.. But again, the PCP (who has no reason to tell me it looks good, like she did not get money for the surgery like the plastics guy did) said it looks good and not to stress about the swelling but I needed to take it easy since I went back to work today.
BTW, I am pleased with my plastics guy ~ he is caring, his work looks good, he is nice and very open to my million questions but sometimes in life you wonder do they tell you that you will be happy cause they have to since they got paid and it is their work or cause it is what you want to hear???
Good luck on a speedy recovery !

Thanks - your experience is very reassuring to me!!! I think it is partialy dur to swelling and partially due to the binder squishing the area.
I am worried about infection, so after I shower I set my blowdryer on the cold setting and on low and i blow dry my incision, my BB, and my drains!! Better safe than sorry!!

Hello there!
I had my TT and medial thigh lift on 12-14-10. My body changes everyday I was disappointed at first but now the swelling is going down things are looking alot better. This is just the beginning your body will continue to heal itself......but if it's something that really bothers you talk to your PS.
Good luck

Measure your progress in weeks not days. :)
Expect major swelling and to not be able to fit in normal clothes for quite a while.
My issue was different. I had puckering or pleating at the incision along my pubic line. I was reassured it would smooth out and it looks perfect now. It took quite a while.
Happy healing, Loris

Yep, patience is a virtue. Your will have swelling and edema- my waist was 2" larger than pre op for 4-6 weeks, but my hips 2 " smaller. I healed quickly with 7 drains in (!) and was back in the gym at 12 days post op for stretching/yoga, 21 days for cardio and weights. My disappointment was the presence of stretch marks but boy was I pleased with the ultra flat tummy. I had a circumferential lower body lift- so a little different from yours- but again, you need time. I have read posts where people continued to swell and experience edema for 6-9 months post op, so I was pleased my PS used drains and no compression garments in the long run- but again, everyone heals differently and you need to give it time. Your avatar picture looks YOUNG - so great genes or you are much younger than I- you will heal even better than this 50 year old body! Get that protein in! Good luck and congrats- XOXOLori
