lying down to type. had breast red, and lift with extended tt with a LOT of lipo monday.  7 hrs.  stayed overnight with dilaudid drip (needed),  home with lots of percocets 5 6 daily.  no poop for 4 days even with pre-surg. colace.......finally went fri.  had nurse 3 hrs day 2-4.  only have 2 drains (tummy) out tomorrow....does this hurt?  More discomfort than i read here...but never really severe.  My lap band will need to be switched to a low profile this spring.  cant really tell much or see much yet.  I just wanted to say that to ME the ELECTRIC STANDING RECLINER is as important as pain meds.  so is my raised toilet wih arms.  worth every cent!!  my kids or husband will post pix Monday,

i was so scared and i am so happy it is over.

So glad to see the update! Sounds like you are doing well! The drains for me didn't hurt, the doc and I were talking and I kept waiting, but they were already out!

Can't wait to see pictures!
Glad your home!!

Good news...the removal of my LBL drain didn't hurt...in fact two of the five fell out on their own.  I was worried because the one for my gastric bypass hurt like crazy when it came out.  I think it is prob because these are closer to the surface.
Congrats!

I did not have mine out yet but my PS explained to me that some drains have straight ends, others flare out.  He uses the straight ones because they do not hurt when you remove them.  The flared style stretch the skin so it hurts.   Hopefully yoour PS uses the straight ones!

Glad to hear you're already tickled! Drains freaked me out too but I was surprised - i never looked and was about to hyperventilate and it was over before i knew it...and was out!

Be happy.

Glad you are doing good.  Just relax and heal...  I had my drain removed about 2 weeks ago and I was scared but it didn't hurt at all.  Good luck and Congrats.

Good to hear you're back home - there is nothing like being back in your own home.

Johanna, that's interesting about the different types of drains.

I must have had the easy to pull out drains because I didn't feel any of mine and I had 6. This was my first experience with drains and from what I read here I was very nervous and afraid for discomfort but I didn't even know when they had pulled the end out - each time they had to tell me it was over. Hopefully you'll have the same experience.
