Anyone else fine in the front, disaster in the back?
I've gone to two consults so far, both times when the doctors started the physical examination they've basically said "are you sure you need surgery??" Then I turn around. My backside is so flat and saggy they were only able to offer some minor improvement.
So I'm wondering, has anyone else had a similar experience? Could any one suggest at "butt expert" in Northern California?

Aloha Becca-
From your profile, I can't tell how much weight you lost, or how you are proportioned- but I am astounded by the results I got with Dr. Eric Mariotti in Concord, CA. I had a circumferential belt lipectomy ( lower body lift), breast lift and augmentation in January 2010, after maintaining at goal for 10 months, having lost 198 pounds ( and I was super morbid obese for decades so I was very stretched out). I feel his office is very professional, love his PA Sarah, and am thrilled by the outcome. Feel free to use my name if you schedule a consult- much of his work is on massive weight loss patients, so he has plenty of photos in his book demonstrating befores and afters with different body types ( long torso, wide shoulders, etc etc). I work out alot, and was well prepared by the staff with what to expect and how to prepare. I had everything done at once, and my insurance did pay a portion of the paaniculectomy ( but I had to jump through some hoops to get my insurance company and his office to coordinate on date, fees, etc- eg he had to start and stop timers on anesthesia/surgery time/assistant time from when he worked on the back and breasts ( not covered by insurance) and the tummy ( covered by insurance). Most of the time, you get a flat derrierre with a lower body lift- I do lots of squats and core work and do not feel flat at all.

I urge you to consult with several plastic surgeons before choosing one- and remember you will be working with the assistant much of the time, so be sure you get along with them and the front office staff. I'm not sure if you are doing any breast work ( I was SO flat, like a negative A cup!) ---one other thing I did that was worthwhile was bring in several different outfits before choosing my implant size. For example, I brought in a sundress, a workout top, a swimsuit, a tee shirt, a sweater, my work uniform, different bras- and tried on the various sized implants inside my bra under the different articles of clothing - I found that going bigger just made me look fat again and I am stoked with my chosen breast size.
Be well, PM me if you want photos, I do have some graphic befores and afters that I do not post in my profile.
Good luck and congratulations- XOXO Lori
