Tummy tuck and outer thigh lift.

For those who have had tummy tucks, did it lift your outer thigh at all? I'm just curious as I have had one consultation for an Anchor TT and I might go back for a second to ask about a LBL.

I'm no expert, but I think if you need outer thighs lifted than an LBL is the only real way to address it.  I had mine done in early October and it helped a lot.  No, they're not perfect, but much, much improved.

Forgot to mention that I consulted the first doc about an extended tummy tuck. I wasn't sure if that you make a difference in the outer thights. I am going to see what the second doc says. My other concern is recovery time and if it's going to be longer with the LBL.

I had a circumferential LBL with anchor TT. Yes, the outer thighs were improved (now the inner thighs look even worse!). Not sure if an extended TT or something that doesn't go pretty much all the way around would do as much, but you should ask.

I had an extended anchor cut tummy tuck and it did not affect my outer thighs. It did improve my hip area very much but not the thighs.

I later had an inner thigh lift. My outer thighs were not a problem for me but I'm pretty sure it would take an LBL to address the outer thighs.

Thanks for the replies. Also, how many times did you meet with your surgeon prior to the surgery. And did they make you go for pre-op testing (labs, EKG)? And did anyone use short term disability when they took time off of work?

I had to have lab work done prior to all of my procedures. I met for a pre-op appointment and was given all of my instructions and my prescriptions to get filled. I can't help with the short term disability question.

You certainly can have some lifting of the upper part of the front of the thighs during TT if the scar is appropriately placed and the tissues under the scar are loosened to allow them to move upwards.

The correction will usually not include the sides of the thighs too much.

Cases 2,5,8 and 18 show some lift of the front and a bit to the sides of thighs after extended TT.

Please note that Case 2 also had an inner thigh lift.
