UPDATE: on ME...

Well everyone, it has been a long while since I have posted on the boards.  Life just gets away from you.

So in May I had a panni removal, which insurance approved, after losing 200 pounds and 2 yrs out.  I went from a 10-12 to a 4-6. WOW what a difference 4 pounds of hanging skin removed is.

Yep I could not believe it, only 4 pounds.  And the bulk of my weight was in my stomach, I was APPLE shape.  So I had absolutely no problems with my surgery procedure which was done in May.  But as time when on and the swelling went down, I found that I had the muffin top and dog ears.  Of course, I was not a happy camper, even though I knew from reading posts on the boards I was to expect because of not having a full TT.

So I had my 6 mo follow up and told doc, this is not happening.  I am not happy and we need to do something about this....He said, I dont like it either..So guess what???  I got a panni removal revision...Yep you heard it right, a panni removal revision, and even better, my insurance paid for it too....So now I am two weeks out from the revision and I am doing great.  Absolutely not problems once again.  Just anxiously waiting for the swelling to go down and be flat.  OMG, flat what is that?  I have never been flat, so we will see when it is all said and done.

Thanks for the ramble, but I just had to share in my happiness and success with plastics.

The beauty of a woman is not seen through what she wears. It is seen through how she carries herself and the way she doesn’t allow herself to settle. Don’t ever let anyone take for granted the beauty that is within you. Stand firm and know that you’re a wonderful person. Always remember your value and respect yourself. I’m so blessed to have you in my life.  Sometimes we all need to be reminded how special we really are!

Good to see an update Leigh Ann!

That's awesome news that your revision is covered - insurance companies sure vary widely in what they will and won't cover.

I am really hoping my upcoming tummy tuck makes me go down at least one size.... but your difference is amazing!
