Neck/chin lift...had it...need ear help!

Hello! I did a search, but that wasn't too helpful. I used to chat on OH a while ago, but haven't been back in a long time. Recently, November 23, 2010 actually, I had a neck/chin lift. There was no muscle tightening, but the skin was taken in from behind my ears and up around the front of my ears.
I notice that one side has been way more swollen than the other. The area around my mouth (that had lipo) is of course still puffy.
I still seem to have a bit of a turkey neck though...that is bothersome. I still see some wrinkled skin directly under my neck. Also, the nasal folds/laugh lines that were supposed to be taken care of around my mouth seem to still be there. I was wondering if it's because i'm still swollen...i KNOW that's probably it, but i'm so worried that it all won't turn out how I wanted it to. : )

Okay, the main problem though, is that my ears are SO SORE. I know, I know, they've been cut into. But it's just a knot of pain and it didn't hurt like this at first.
I'm just wondering how other's dealt with the ears. How has the healing process gone for those of you who just had skin only lifts? I know now after my original WLS and this one, i don't heal quickly and i'm a wimp (lol) but i wouldn't mind some reassurance or a timeline to expect.

The stitches behind my ears were the last to come out--almost 3 weeks.  I think that area just heals more slowly.

My ears were very sore too.   My stitches were removed at about 5 days.  My own doctor said it's because they won't leave as bad scars.   I hated the pain, hurt more than any other thing I had done the same day.    I just took pills.   I think the pressure of turning my head bothered me too, now not so much.   It will get better.. watch out for the swelling, maybe contact your surgeon.
