Need some reassurance..
Hello,
I had my panniculectomy Dec, 20. Where they removed 13lbs of skin. I had my drains removed last wednesday and the surgeon gave me the okay to use the treadmill at the gym. My question though is I have gained back the 13lbs they removed and I have swelled up from it the pants I wore before surgery dont fit now therer to small. Is this normal due to swelling seems my body is kind of playing a mind game with me right now. thanks for any answers..
Yup, water retention and swelling from the trauma would be my guess. Hang in there, it'll come off - mine is working its way out.

Swelling is awful - but unfortunately it happens. I wear a size 4 and was wearing a 10 because of swelling and drains - did a number on my mind, and my weight stayed the same...

Thanks for the replies,
I do wear the compression garment, I actually wear a compression shirt and then the compression garment it feels better when its nice and snug. I have managed to drop almost 5 of those pounds in the last few days. I started using the elliptical and I think its better cause theres no impact so the stomach doesnt move as much plus you burn way more calories. It's nice to know that some of it is swelling.
