What changes OTHER than sagging skin issues?

I'm scheduled for panni and bil breast reduction Feb 3. I'm really struggling with feeling selfish for having these procedures done. What REALLY changes other than eliminating issues caused by sagging skin? How long ( if you did) did you have to wait to resume sex? I have lots of mixed emotions now that this is going to be a reality.

Self esteem baby!  I had my arms done 10 days ago.  I felt more comfortable removing my warm sweater and wearing just a tank top while at someone's home two nights ago with my arms bruised and bandaged than I have ever felt in my life with my huge bat wings.

I anticipate that when my big ol' panni is gone and my breasts are not hanging to my waist I will feel more desirable and exude more confidence in the bedroom initiating sex than I do now. That's about as honest as I can get!

We ARE worth it!

Hugs,
Mickie

The dragging skin issues WERE a huge problem - removing those made movement easier, confidence higher, and reduced the amount of time I had to spend "fixing" myself to fit into clothing.

Sex... well, depends on your definition. Some kinds, as soon as you're awake. Some kinds longer. It just depends.

HI Rebecca,

Who was your plastic surgeon?  I live in Buffalo Grove and I was just wondering if you used a plastic surgeon out in the NW Suburbs.

Thanks-

Yes - I used Dr. Michael Howard and Dr. Karol Gutowski: they tag-teamed my surgery to get it all done in 5 hours.  They're with Northshore University Health, and generally do surgery at Evanston although they'll go to Highland Park, Skokie, or Glenbrook if you want.

So far, I'm so thrilled!  Very little pain early out, virtually none now.  The only things I can't do are reach the top shelf in the kitchen or sleep on my side.

Joy,
I just had a TT on Tuesday. Dr. Gilbert Tresley did the surgery at Advestist Hospital in Hinsdale. His office is in Oak Brook. So far, it has been very little pain. I'm still comletely bandaged, but what a huge difference without the wiggle jiggle belly! I haven't had any rashes since my bypass surgery 2 years ago, so no insurance coverage. I am considering the arms next, but that will be quite a while down the road.

Good luck!

Even with a binder on, I feel soooo much better about myself...i hate to say that b/c I've always been a confident woman (even plus size days)..but I lost almost 200 lbs and i was more self conscious than ever! Nobody ever thought i had skin in clothes but I knew!

My awesome hottie hubby never uttered a word except those of support....waited two weeks on both procedures for me. Plastics are waaaaay more emotional than I ever thought they would be. It is normal to feel the way you do. YOu are not alone

Be happy.
