Thigh Scars

I recently had a ps consult and was prepared to look at my outer thighs, and entire lower body lift.  I have been anxious to finish this journey for some time and all of the sudden I am panicking.  (I am looking at having the first round in early July so I can be recovred before the school year starts!  Anyway, I never thought about  my inner thighs as I though most was due to the outer thighs....PS thing that we should do a medial thigh lift and TT first w/ the first round of lipo to my out thighs.  THis sounds great, but I am really concerned about the scars along the inner leg.

How obvious are the scars?  How long until they started to be less noticable.

I had several complications with my RNY and have had several surgeries through the same scars on my stomach and they actually look okay, I don't know why I am so concerned with huge sacars on my legs.  Any pictures would help!

THanks so much!  I really on you all soooo much.  FOr some reason all of a sudden I am not sure about PS.  I have spent most of the day reading posts on the PS boards!

I may have had a few extra potholes along the way, but the journey has been good!

I have long inner thigh scars.  Surgery was 2.5 years ago.  They have lightened a LOT.  Probably wouldn't be noticeable at all if I didn't always have a deep tan.  I LOVE trips to Hawaii!

I had my inner thigh lift in October of 2009 so it's been just a little over a year for me. I have some pictures posted on my profile. If you tend to scar well then your thigh scars should be no different. They fade over time and become less obvious. The placement is key. When I'm standing up you can't see them from the front or the back. I have to turn my leg for you to see them.

Thanks for the pictures.  I am hoping to not think of things for a little while....6 months is a ways away.  Hoe many ps did you talk with b4 you decided who to go with.  I have only had one consult, but felt that was who I would go with as she is the surgeon who does all of my RNY support groups.  I don't think they would have her if they hadn't sent people to her.  SHe has done quite a lot of post RNY so I feel comfortable with that

I had 2 consults but I had no trouble in deciding on my surgeon. His before & after pictures showed me his great work. I also talked to other patients of his and they all gave me positive feedback.

You look absolutely wonderful!  I can only hope to have similar end results!  I feel weird even thinking about this I don't think I was vain, but apparently I am.  On the other hand  I think I would happy with where I am now, except it hurts to run with my thighs and my butt bouncing with each step! :-) lol!  THanks for all of your help!  I am sure I will be asking 500 more questions as things get closer.  July feels like tomorrow right now!
